2015 UBC Fund Raiser

You are at the heart of UBC’s stories. What better message to remind alumni donors what a difference their funding makes?

Kelly developed the creative direction and prepared this suite of typographic illustrations for this UBC fund raiser. Each literally embodies the key aspects of each topic — Research, Innovation, Learning, and Engagement. And the people profiled are real UBC alumni with real success stories.

It’s great to talk about what could be if we all did the right thing. But it’s far more persuasive to substantiate those possibilities with real examples.

We were so pleased with how this campaign turned out. The overarching idea was to demonstrate how the donor is at the centre of the UBC story, and show how they empower people and projects that shape the world. This campaign managed to retain customization for each of the 26 departments involved, while still taking advantage of the benefits of storytelling and a personal, first-person voice.
